The plants you receive may not be the exact ones shown in the images on our website. Each plant is unique, and while we ensure the quality and size match our standards, there may be natural variations in appearance.

Yes, we offer small pots that are ideal for small Hoya plants or starting cuttings. These pots are designed to accommodate the unique needs of Hoya plants, ensuring they have the perfect home to thrive in as they grow.

What is your shipping schedule?
We currently ship only within the USA, with regular shipping dates listed on our website. While we aim to ship every other week (Texas excluded), extreme weather—at the destination or on our end—may delay shipments to ensure the safety of the plants. Orders placed near a shipping date will be processed for the next available safe shipment.
Can I return or exchange my purchase if I change my mind?
We do not accept returns or exchanges at hoyacuttings.com. Once a purchase is made, it is final. We encourage our customers to consider their purchases carefully, especially since buying live plants involves certain risks.
What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
If your plant arrives with significant damage to the foliage due to packaging or shipping mishaps, please contact us immediately at info@hoyacuttings.com. We ask that you inspect your order upon receipt and report any issues with the item being defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can address and rectify the situation promptly.
Are there any requirements for reporting damages or issues?
Yes, for all claims regarding damages or issues, we require photos or other forms of proof to be submitted within 24 hours of delivery. Unfortunately, claims without photo/video proof submitted within this timeframe will be rejected.
We may limit or refuse future claims from accounts with repeated claim history or inconsistent documentation.
Can I get a refund for a damaged plant?
Because we sell live plants, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or minor cosmetic imperfections. If your order arrives significantly damaged, incorrect, or with a serious issue, email us within 24 hours of delivery at info@hoyacuttings.com with clear photos or video of the plant, packaging, and shipping label. Approved issues are resolved case by case and may include a replacement, store credit, or refund, at our discretion. We reserve the right to deny claims that show normal shipping stress, minor leaf damage, delayed reporting, missing proof, incorrect shipping address, or conditions outside our control after delivery.

What happens if my order is delayed, lost, or damaged by the carrier or due to extreme weather conditions?
If your order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will review the situation case by case. When appropriate, we will do our best to make it right, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund.
If a customer requests shipment during unsafe weather against our recommendation, live arrival coverage does not apply.

Do you combine shipping?
Yes, we combine shipping! We automatically combine shipping for multiple orders placed before the next shipping date. Overcharges are refunded based on the total shipping cost. No need to request it—if you'd prefer not to combine, leave a note with your order or email us at info@hoyacuttings.com

Can I add items to my order after checkout?
Yes, you can add items to your order if requested before the shipping date. To do so, email us at info@hoyacuttings.com with your order number and the item you'd like to add. If it's still available, we'll send you an invoice. Please note that shipping adjustments may apply based on the number of items added. Orders with unpaid invoices will not be processed.
Do I need to pay extra for insulation and heat packs?
No, insulation and heat packs are included automatically at no extra cost if needed, based on the weather:
- Between 35F and 50°F: Insulation and heat pack included.
- Above 85°F: Insulation included.
Important Note: Heat packs do not work if the temperature drops below 32°F. In such cases, we strongly recommend delaying shipping until the weather improves to ensure your plants' safety. Please contact us if you’d like to hold your order due to extreme weather conditions.
How Shipping Works?
1. Inspection & paperwork
As a licensed Texas nursery, we ship only after plants have been inspected. For all orders leaving Texas, Phytosanitary Certificates are issued before shipment. This usually takes place on Thursday of the week after Restock Day.
2. Packing & shipping
Once inspection and paperwork are complete, we begin preparing shipments. Orders are typically packed and shipped on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
3. Weather holds & special requests
We hold orders when weather conditions are not safe for live plants. When needed, we add insulation and a heat pack at no extra charge.

For FedEx Priority Overnight upgrades, a phone number is required.
