Unrooted cutting of Hoya coriacea (Silver).
This hoya may have some green splash on the leaves.
This is a thin-leaf hoya and does not do well in shipping when it is too hot or cold.

Hoya coriacea (Full Silver) is a heavily silvered form of Hoya coriacea, an accepted Hoya species native from Thailand through parts of Malesia.

This form is grown primarily for its beautiful pale foliage. The elongated leaves can develop an extensive silver overlay, sometimes appearing almost completely silver with only fine green speckling, mottling, or small patches remaining.

Unlike many thick-leaved Hoyas, Hoya coriacea has relatively thin, flexible foliage. Mature leaves can become quite substantial while retaining a softer appearance than many other large-leaved Hoya species.

The amount of silver may vary between individual leaves. Even plants selected for very high silver can occasionally produce leaves with more visible green or splash.

Hoya coriacea produces umbels of pale yellow to yellowish flowers when mature.

Botanical name: Hoya coriacea Blume
Form: Full Silver
Native range of species: Thailand through Malesia
First published: 1827
Notable features: Large, relatively thin foliage capable of developing an extensive to nearly full silver overlay

Please note that the amount and distribution of silver can vary naturally from leaf to leaf. Full Silver does not guarantee completely solid-silver future growth, and individual leaves may retain green speckling or splash.

A note about this plant: Species-level botanical information above is based on published taxonomic records. We have not found original breeder, selection, or provenance documentation establishing the origin of this particular silver form and cannot independently confirm or deny those details.

Size of the cutting

Cuttings are one node by default, unless otherwise stated. Some may have additional nodes/growth points depending on propagation time, but most will be single-node due to high demand on certain varieties. More about the size here.

Preparation Time

Most of the cuttings are pre-rooted. This ensures that the plant material is in optimal condition for transit and subsequent planting.

Appearance

Hoyas are often sold as single-node cuttings. Photos are provided to show the general appearance of the plant's foliage and may not represent the exact cutting you’ll receive. When available, details about cutting length are included in the product description. More on type on the cutting info here.

Note

The photos are provided to show the plant’s foliage more clearly—please note that we’re selling a one-node cutting by default.
