Unrooted cutting of Hoya 'Menak Sopal' (Silver).
One node. One or two leaves.

Hoya sp. Menak Sopal (Silver) is an undescribed collector Hoya reported to originate from the Trenggalek area of East Java, Indonesia.

According to publicly available provenance information, the plant was reportedly discovered in 2023 and later circulated among collectors in Indonesia and Thailand. It has not been formally described or identified to species, so we retain the “sp.” designation.

Its most distinctive feature is the foliage. Leaves can develop an unusually extensive pale silver overlay, sometimes appearing almost completely silver with only fine green speckling or patches remaining. The silver has a soft, frosted appearance rather than the more scattered splash seen on many Hoyas.

The amount and pattern of silver may vary from leaf to leaf, and the appearance of future growth cannot be guaranteed.

A note about this plant: The locality, discovery history, naming, and background information above was gathered from publicly available online sources. We do not have original collection or identification documentation for this particular plant and cannot independently confirm or deny those details.

Size of the cutting

Cuttings are one node by default, unless otherwise stated. Some may have additional nodes/growth points depending on propagation time, but most will be single-node due to high demand on certain varieties. More about the size here.

Preparation Time

Most of the cuttings are pre-rooted. This ensures that the plant material is in optimal condition for transit and subsequent planting.

Appearance

Hoyas are often sold as single-node cuttings. Photos are provided to show the general appearance of the plant's foliage and may not represent the exact cutting you’ll receive. When available, details about cutting length are included in the product description. More on type on the cutting info here.

Note

The photos are provided to show the plant’s foliage more clearly—please note that we’re selling a one-node cutting by default.
