Hoya 'Rainforest Beauty' is a striking variegated collector Hoya historically circulated under the name Hoya archboldiana Albomarginata.

The foliage develops dark green to silvery-green centers surrounded by irregular cream, yellow, or white margins. New leaves may initially appear softer green or muted in color, with the variegation becoming brighter and more defined as the leaf matures. Under brighter conditions, young margins may also develop attractive pink coloration.

The history of this plant is more complicated than its old trade name suggests. Current Hoya cultivar records identify the material historically sold as Hoya archboldiana Albomarginata as the established cultivar Hoya 'Rainforest Beauty'.

'Rainforest Beauty' originated with Hoya hybridizer Michael Miyashiro in Hawaii. Published cultivar records describe it as a variegated sport selected from hybrid seedlings with Hoya macgillivrayi and Hoya archboldiana ancestry. The reported parentage is Hoya macgillivrayi 'Rainforest' × (Hoya macgillivrayi × Hoya archboldiana).

Because the older Archboldiana Albomarginata name remains widespread in the Hoya trade, collectors may still encounter this plant under both names.
