Hoya 'Crocodile' is a rare seed-grown Hoya selection reported in cultivation as originating from Hoya fitchii 'Yellow', with this particular selection circulated as clone 2.

The plant is especially prized for its unusual mottled variegation. Individual leaves can range from predominantly green with scattered yellow or cream markings to dramatically variegated leaves with large pale areas. The pattern can change considerably from leaf to leaf, even on the same plant.

Its thick foliage may also develop a noticeable textured appearance, which is associated with the trade name 'Crocodile'.

Current grower reports indicate that this cultivar can alternate between greener and more strongly variegated growth, so the amount and pattern of variegation on future leaves cannot be guaranteed.
