Lightly rooted cutting of Hoya latifolia 'Wasabi' (green Inner variegation).
Exact plant.

Hoya latifolia 'Wasabi' is a distinctive Hoya latifolia known for its subtle green-on-green inner variegation.

Instead of the high-contrast cream or yellow variegation seen in many Hoya latifolia selections, 'Wasabi' develops layered shades of green across the leaf surface. The inner variegation may appear as lighter green, yellow-green, or muted chartreuse areas blending into a darker green background.

The effect is much softer and more tonal than traditional variegation, giving the foliage a beautifully understated appearance. As the leaves mature, the contrast between the different green tones may become more or less pronounced.

Hoya latifolia itself is an accepted species native from Myanmar through western Malesia. It was formally published in 1837 and is known for producing large, substantial foliage.

The exact origin of the 'Wasabi' selection does not appear to be clearly documented. Current specialist growers consistently recognize it as a cultivated Hoya latifolia selection with green-on-green variegation, but we have not found reliable information identifying who originally selected or named the clone.
