Hoya sp. Kapuas Hulu (Round Leaf) is an unidentified collector Hoya circulated under a locality name referring to Kapuas Hulu in West Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo.

This particular form is prized for its thick, broad foliage. The leaves are generally oval to rounded and can develop a soft silvery-green surface with fine darker green mottling, speckling, and irregular markings. Some leaves may become very heavily silvered, while others retain considerably more green.

“Round Leaf” is used in cultivation to distinguish this form from other Kapuas Hulu material and describes the characteristic broader leaf shape rather than a formally established cultivar name.

The plant is sometimes circulated online as Hoya sp. Kapuas Hulu aff. forbesii or aff. forbesii Silver. However, we have not found sufficient botanical documentation to confirm a relationship with Hoya forbesii, so we prefer to retain the more conservative Hoya sp. Kapuas Hulu name.
