Unrooted cutting of Hoya uniflora.
Three to five nodes.
Hoya uniflora is a tiny, unusual Hoya species native to Laos, known for its miniature foliage and remarkably large solitary white flowers.
The leaves are very small, thick, and fleshy, generally ranging from oval to nearly round. Mature leaves may develop a subtle central fold and a glossy surface. One of the most distinctive characteristics described in the original species publication is the underside of the leaf, which can appear very pale to almost white with a greener or silvery-green band running along the midrib.
Despite the miniature foliage, the flowers are surprisingly large. Hoya uniflora produces one flower at a time rather than the multi-flowered umbels typical of most Hoyas. The flowers are pure white, approximately 3 cm across, softly hairy on the inner surface, and reported to have a sweet fragrance.
Hoya uniflora was formally described in 2017 by Leonid Averyanov and Van The Pham from material collected in Xiangkhouang Province, northeastern Laos.
The original population was found growing primarily as a tiny creeping lithophyte on moss-covered limestone rocks and cliffs at approximately 1,200–1,450 meters elevation, with some plants also growing epiphytically. Mature vines in the original description reached only about 35 cm long.
Botanical name: Hoya uniflora Aver. & V.T.Pham
Native range: Laos
Type locality: Xiangkhouang Province, northeastern Laos
First published: 2017

The species name “uniflora” refers to its characteristic one-flowered inflorescences.
Please note that leaf size, shape, and coloration may vary as the plant matures and under different growing conditions.
A note about this plant: Species-level botanical and historical information above is based on the original published species description, herbarium records, and current taxonomic sources. We do not have original wild-collection or provenance documentation for our particular cultivated plant and cannot independently confirm or deny its connection to the original Lao population.
Size of the cutting
Cuttings are one node by default, unless otherwise stated. Some may have additional nodes/growth points depending on propagation time, but most will be single-node due to high demand on certain varieties. More about the size here.
Preparation Time
Most of the cuttings are pre-rooted. This ensures that the plant material is in optimal condition for transit and subsequent planting.
Appearance
Hoyas are often sold as single-node cuttings. Photos are provided to show the general appearance of the plant's foliage and may not represent the exact cutting you’ll receive. When available, details about cutting length are included in the product description. More on type on the cutting info here.
Note
The photos are provided to show the plant’s foliage more clearly—please note that we’re selling a one-node cutting by default.
