Hello, everyone!
Before anything else: if this winter hit you hard, I’m truly sorry. Whether you dealt with power issues, unsafe roads, lost work hours, stress, or just the nonstop anxiety of it all, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and starting to get back to normal. And if you lost plants during this weather, I genuinely feel for you. That kind of loss is heartbreaking, especially when it’s the plants you’ve babied for months (or years).
On our end, we were lucky to have power and stay safe, and I’m very grateful for that. But we did take a big hit in the grow space. The colder nights were brutal, and even with all our usual precautions, we lost many plants.
A lot of the losses came from our latest import, which honestly hurts the most. These were new, interesting varieties we were really excited about and had big plans to offer this spring. We’re hopeful we’ll be able to reorder most of them and still bring them to the shop once things stabilize.
Because of these losses, restocks will be more rare for a bit while we rebuild and get the business back to normal. I’ll keep everything as up-to-date and transparent as possible as we recover and restock responsibly.
And now I’d love to hear from you (only if you feel like sharing):
If you lost any plants during this crazy weather, drop a comment under this post with your “replacement list.” What are you trying to find again? Even if it’s just one plant you’re missing, I’d love to know.
Stay safe.
💚 Anna and HC Team.

I’m truly sorry for the new imports that didn’t make it. I will be praying for your plants, you guys, and your plant shop. I’m sending all positive energy to you guys. I love HoyaCuttings! It’s literally the best place to shop for rare and healthy Hoya cuttings! I will forever be a customer!
Im so sorry you lost so many imports. You always have the coolest stuff too. Sending all the good Karma and vibes your way for happy healthy new imports and growing. I can’t wait for the next restock though, Part of my space got too cold as well. I lost my papaschonii seedlings which I was super excited and Mathilde vari. Not terrible but still it’s always the fun ones!
I live in Ohio and we have been blessed with a bunch of snow and very low temperatures. My hoyas have slowed down growing a bit but that is to be expected. Looking forward to ordering more cuttings from you, in spite of my 2026 “no more hoyas” resolution. 😉
I’m ready for spring! I had a greenhouse furnace go out just before subzero temperatures hit Iowa a few weeks ago. Luckily, everything turned out ok, with few losses.
So happy to be able to buy again even if its on hold!! I live in the northeast and just moves all 125+ plants i had and definetly had some losses, so im excited to repopulate the empty spaces!!
